Golf Industry Veterans Launch WHITE TEE PARTNERS

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY; February 3, 2021: Well-respected golf industry veterans, Alyson Ramsey Johnson and LeslieAnne Wade have joined forces to launch a full-service strategic communications, PR and social media firm. With recognized experience in branding, media, properties, events, strategic and crisis communications, the duo have partnered in forming White Tee Partners.


Alyson Johnson, the current President + CEO of boutique sports marketing agency Gilly Group, is the former SVP, Marketing and Communications at Wyndham Worldwide and has over 20 years of experience in the golf industry. Johnson started her career in golf right out of college as Media Director and then Tournament Director of the New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) and went on to secure roles with the PGA Championship at Baltusrol as the regional head of marketing and sales; Hamilton Farm Golf Club, where she oversaw the club’s hosting of the HSBC Women’s World Match Play on the LPGA TOUR; practiced as a mental golf coach at Royce Brook Golf Academy; and then went on to her role at Wyndham Worldwide where she received multiple awards from the PGA TOUR for the company’s title sponsorship, branding, social media strategy, player relations and charity involvement at the Wyndham Championship on the PGA TOUR, the Company’s programs at The Masters Tournament, and sat on the Board of Directors for the American Junior Golf Association Foundation (AJGA) as well as the New Jersey PGA of America Foundation (NJPGA).


Johnson strategically gained experience in golf to fully understand the industry from the perspective of league, charity, host site, sponsor, and client before launching Gilly Group in 2015. Gilly Group has worked with brands and Companies including Wheels Up, THE NORTHERN TRUST, a PGA TOUR event, Konnect Golf and the David Leadbetter Academy (NYC), OptiShot Golf, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, amongst others. Johnson was recognized by the Leading Women Entrepreneurs as a “Top Brand Builder”.


Wade is an award-winning strategic communications executive and the Managing Director of Wade Media Management, where she creates brand-building strategy, marketing partnerships and media relations consultation in professional golf, college sports, professional football and broadcasting for a decade. An expert in crisis management across media and sports, Wade creates and executes decisive strategic plans for corporations and individuals. She is the former SVP, Communications, CBS Sports leading all media relations across all platforms and properties including the NFLonCBS, The Super Bowl, The Road to the Final Four, The Olympic Games, US Open Tennis, PGA Tour, PGA Championship and the Masters. She also served as a consultant to CBS News. She is the former Managing Director of Business Development at Faldo Enterprises, a portfolio of golf businesses which include award winning golf course design, marketing partnerships, broadcasting, instruction and junior player development. As marketing agent to Sir Nick Faldo, she negotiated all broadcasting deals with CBS, Golf Channel, BBC, SKY Sports and Sirius Radio Network.

Wade built partnerships with MasterCard, MetLife, Taylor Made, Banyan Tree Resorts, The Greenbrier, WheelsUp, Glenmorangie, Audemars Piguet and Mizuno among others. She served as literary agent for the publication of the updated version of the Faldo’s highly regarded, “A Swing For Life,” published by Simon and Schuster. She has been honored by Women In Sports and Events with their prestigious Women of Influence Award and by the National Football Foundation’s New Jersey Chapter as a Distinguished American. She was also named Garden State Business Woman of the Year.


WHITE TEE PARTNERS was created to deliver brand awareness and exposure to products, brands, leagues, and talent within the golf space using rich storytelling and engaging content while utilizing the extensive professional network that Johnson and Wade have created over their decades of golf industry experience.
